What is an error E03 on a 4600 operator?

The error E03 is caused by one of the following:
  1. The motor/clutch not plugged into the controller.
  2. The motor/clutch is defective.
  3. The controller is defective.

Solution:

  1. Make sure motor is plugged in to controller on the 4 pin connector.
  2. Check motor/clutch resistance. Unplug the motor/clutch from controller and take Ohm readings. The 2 outside wires on the IDC plug are the clutch and should read around 1200 ohms. The 2 inside wires on the IDC plug are the motor and should read between 20 - 80 ohms. If they do not, the motor/clutch is bad.
  3. If the motor is plugged into controller and the ohm readings are correct, then the controller is bad.
