Schlage Express - Software Freezes Upon Clicking "Generate Program Files"

Issue: Once Users, Doors, Access Rights and Credentials have been assigned, before going to the locks to program by Generating Program Files, causes the software to freeze.

Environment:

  • BE367
  • FE210
  • CO Series
  • AD Series
  • Existing Installation

Cause:

  • There are corrupt door and audit files within the Software.
  • There are many many audits on the HHD Express will need to resolve and import
  • The audits database is large and slow.

Resolution:

  1. Verify that the HHD (Hand held Device) is in the USB connection mode type
  2. Locate the corrupt door files in the Schlage Export Folder in the C: drive
  3. Delete all door files and audit files (files with a .D and .A extension.
  4. Once deleted, click "Generate Program Files"

For audits-caused issues:

  1. Go to Settings > Program Settings > Audits and update the "Maximum Quantity of Audits to Save" to be less than 100,000.  The system runs best when this is set to 10000-20000
