Is a dead battery on the HHD covered under warranty?
The battery for the HHD (Bluebird Pidion) is covered under warranty.   As the batteries do not come separate, the entire unit must be replaced.
Warranty on the HHD is one (1) year from date of purchase.
If unit is out of warranty, battery can be purchased here.
